Description
The area in which the springs and facilities of Ipirotiki Viomichania Emfialoseon S.A. are located is privately owned. It lies in a region characterised by heavy snowfall and rainfall, near the Vikos Gorge, in traditional and strictly protected villages renowned for their natural beauty, and far from any industrial or urban activity. This fact, combined with the water of the area having always been known for its digestive and diuretic properties as well as its pleasant taste, gave the impetus for its exploitation with the start of bottling of the water “Vikos” from the spring of the same name.
This made it possible even for people who live far from this remarkable region to enjoy it, bringing it closer to every corner of Greece. In 2008, bottling and marketing began of another Natural Mineral Water from the recognised spring of the same name “Zagorochoria” at the company's second plant in Kalpaki, Ioannina.
